In this week’s Wednesday Wisdom we reported on Stream’s journey to Net Zero carbon emissions and how we can continue to work towards becoming part of the solution to global warming and not stay part of the problem. We had already addressed a lot of the more obvious actions such as switching to a 100% renewable energy supplier, recycling and becoming paper free, but wanted to accelerate our net zero journey. With tools provided by Ecologi.com we looked at six areas where further improvements could be made to reduce our carbon footprint: energy, transport & logistics, appliances & furniture, supply chain, consumables and carbon offsetting, in order to identify how we can change our individual and collective behaviours to reduce our carbon emissions.
We collectively pledged to work together to achieve net zero carbon by 2030 (20 years ahead of the Paris Agreement) and have signed up to the SME Climate Commitment to disclose our progress year on year. We will review internally on a monthly basis and keep you updated on our progress.
